Shelter by Jodi Gaines / Eleni Skiba [OFFICIAL]

So excited to premiere our new single Shelter. Available on iTunes, Spotify, Google and Amazon July 12. http://www.jodigaines.com http://www.instagram.com/thejodigaines http://www.facebook.com/thejodigaines // Lyrics // It's one of those days again I can feel you slipping through my hands To a place so dark That you disappear Baby, hold my hand I've got you and I understand The pain You feel Is real But if it took a million years For me to dry all your tears I'd give everything I had Just to take away your fears Doesn't matter how long it takes Don't worry, I'll hold your cape So let me dry all your tears I'm always here Your shelter in this place Your shelter in this place So here we sit again And today you finally took my hand But your smile so faint I could hardly see But baby don't let go I'm holdin on tight so you know The love I feel Is real. But if it took a million years For me to dry all your tears I'd give everything I had Just to take away your fears Doesn't matter how long it takes Don't worry, I'll hold your cape So let me dry all your tears I'm always here Your shelter in this place Your shelter in this place Your shelter in this place Another year's gone by And your face shines brighter Than the sky... It didn't take a million years For you to dry all your tears You gave everything you had Just to take away your fears Never matters how long it takes Hey baby, here's your cape You wiped all your tears But know I'm always here Your shelter in this place Your shelter in this place Your shelter in this place Your shelter in this place Your shelter in this place Your shelter in this place Your shelter in this place Copyright 2019 Jodi Gaines Lead Vocals / Rhythm Guitar: Jodi Gaines Background Vocals / Lead Guitar: Eleni Skiba Harmony Vocals / Al Johnson Bass / Jeff Coulter Percussion / Bryan Lamar Recorded, produced, mastered at Rain Cat Recording Studios (https://www.raincatrecordings.com/).

Jodi Gaines Soul Sugar - Live at the Studio

Jodi Gaines and her band mates Eleni Skiba and Ed Berrios recently re-recorded Soul Sugar live at Rain Cat Recording Studio in Stuart, Florida for the 2018 NPR Tiny Desk Contest. For those that have not heard of the Tiny Desk contest, it's a contest for unsigned musicians sponsored by NPR to showcase up and coming talent. Contestants are asked to shoot a video with an original song that MUST include a desk. NPR will showcase hand selected videos and then pick an overall winner that will play live at a Tiny Desk concert in Washington D.C., PLUS get on the bill for a nationwide tour. It's an incredible opportunity and an honor to participate. Our "tiny desk" (borrowed from a local school) and the rest of the studio were littered with objects that represented a little of each of us. "I literally brought in half of my living room," said Jodi Gaines, "including chairs, draping, a homemade drum table light, green things and the Wonder Woman coffee cup I usually start my day with." Ed Berrios added his own super hero touch, including a Super Man ornament, miniature statue, and his signature shirt. Eleni brought in a guitar lamp and an angel to watch over us all. Once everything was in place, it truly felt like a home away from home. BIG thank you to Rain Cat Recording Studio for all their hard work and Ryan Chimelis for shooting and editing the video that made us look so good. It takes a team!!
